Meet Jethro
Hello! I am honored to meet you. Little could I imagine six years ago what life had in store as I peeked out from under those porch steps.. There’s a lot to unpack here, including how my sudden appearance and assimilation into Momonk and Pappy’s lives after a hurricane have merged into the story of Pappy’s previous memoir, and its aftermath. With any luck at all, when LOVE Comes on Four Legs will be the first installment in that saga. Right now, I just want to invite you to join the journey, and particularly make you aware of the launch of my book on Saturday, October 18th, at our wonderful local bookstore, Byrdhouse Books. Stay tuned. You will also learn how you can obtain a free eBook version of the story at the time of the book’s release in October. Meet The Author
Anthony Gurley is a North Carolina native. Born in eastern NC, he has lived in the central Piedmont area of the state since entering Guilford College in 1967. He and his wife, Becky, celebrated their 53rd anniversary in June 2025. They are the proud parents of two children and three grandchildren. After publishing a memoir in 2023, it seemed
logical to Anthony to follow up with Jethro's story, given his significant role in that writing project. Jethro and Anthony are hoping their story will speak to the hearts of children, parents, and grandparents alike. They have already had conversations about three

Meet The Illustrator
Zoe Hansen is an illustrator based in New Jersey, USA. Inspired by the natural beauty of life around her, her vibrant work captures the enchantment in everyday moments. A 2021 graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, Zoe has worked as a professional illustrator for four years, working on projects for various clients in the publishing industry, children’s book industry, and health industry. She creates primarily digitally, using programs like Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator, but is also skilled in traditional media.
